Dr. Spodek is the Shrenik Lalbhai Chair Professor of the Management of Social Organizations, Ahmedabad University, and Professor of History, Temple University, USA. For many years Dr. Spodek has been active in formulating and teaching the subject of World History. In addition to dozens of scholarly articles and two documentary films relating to the city, he has published 'Ahmedabad: Shock City of Twentieth Century India' (Indiana University Press, 2011; Orient Blackswan, 2012).en_US
