Description
This video is a part of 'Ten Turning Points in World History' AU lecture series which is largely based on Dr. Howard Spodek's book - 'The World's History' (Pearson, 5th Edition, 2015). This lecture was held at the University's School of Engineering and Applied Science (formerly IET). Dr. Spodek is the Shrenik Lalbhai Chair Professor of the Management of Social Organizations, Ahmedabad University, and Professor of History, Temple University, USA. For many years Dr. Spodek has been active in formulating and teaching the subject of World History. In addition to dozens of scholarly articles and two documentary films relating to the city, he has published 'Ahmedabad: Shock City of Twentieth Century India' (Indiana University Press, 2011; Orient Blackswan, 2012).
