Abstract
Style Boxes offers a unique approach to fashion retail, emphasizing personalization and sustainability through thrifted clothing items curated by professional stylists. The project aims to assess the readiness of the Indian consumer market for such a service, especially with fast fashion being the new thing. Along with the onset of influencers and social media playing a significant role in how we perceive fashion and considering factors such as cultural preferences, purchasing behaviours, economic considerations and personal taste our project sets to check the feasibility of style boxes in the Indian market. In recent years, personalized fashion services like Style Boxes have gained significant traction in global markets. Even though, Style Boxes seems to be a one stop solution for all your fashion choices, our research, by examining consumer attitudes towards personalized fashion services, preferences regarding thrifted clothing, and willingness to adopt new shopping experiences, seeks to provide valuable insights into the potential success of Style Boxes in India. By shedding light on the intersection of consumer behavior, fashion retail, and sustainability, this research endeavours to offer actionable insights for businesses aspiring to tap into the Indian market with personalized fashion services. Through a thorough research and an in depth market analysis along with strategic market recommendations, our project aims to contribute to the upcoming fashion landscape in the Indian market. The report is divided up into multiple stages with the goal of determining whether Style Boxes are feasible in India or not taking into consideration the consumer preferences and the retail market in India. This project delves into the rapidly growing Style Box business, examining how prevalent they are in modern retail settings and examining the impact of fast fashion trends on the current consumer base. We have begun the project with a synopsis of Style Boxes and the characteristics of their market, there after examining the evolution of this concept in several international markets. Subsequently, we outline the extent of the research and draw upon the results and conclusions based on any inherent advantages or disadvantages we discovered along the process. The next part is an overview of our comprehensive data collection method, covering a wide range of elements required for insightful analysis, covering economical, demographic, geographical and personal tastes of the intended consumer base. Ultimately, this project will add up to our existing knowledge in the field of fashion retailing and consumer behaviour by bridging a gap between theory and practice providing valuable insights to changing needs of the Indian market.
