In this study, a non-ionic surfactant IgepalCO-520 (pentaoxyethylene (5) nonylphenyl ether) has been utilized for new formulations of microemulsions. Different oils like oleic acid, caprylic acidand ester oils like isopropyl myristate and isoamyl acetate and had been utilized as oil phase. Carbitol had been used as cosurfactant. The surfactant/Cosurfactant(Smix)were taken in 1:1 ratio by weight. The pseudoternary phase diagrams of Smix/Water/Oil were plotted to identify microemulsion area. The best microemulsion system, which offered the largest microemulsion area, were further subjected to dilution studies, such as contact angle and dynamic surface tension measurements. These studies allow for an assessment of the wetting behavior of the formulations. The findings of these experiments are particularly valuable in the context of developing sustainable and eco-friendly pesticide formulations, as microemulsions can potentially enhance the effectiveness, stability, and environmental compatibility of pesticide delivery systems. © 2026 Author(s).
