This study aims to examine the challenges faced by B2C edtech companies in India, including Byju’s and unacademy, despite their substantial funding and large budgets. These challenges encompass market competition, user acquisition and retention, technology integration, quality assurance, and accessibility. Utilizing both primary and secondary research methods, this study seeks to uncover the reasons behind the challenges faced by edtech startups, their strategies for cost management, loss mitigation, and product differentiation in the market. Through interviews and analysis, common reasons for these challenges and sustainable market strategies are identified. Additionally, comprehensive secondary research is conducted on prominent companies such as BYJU'S, Unacademy, Vedantu, UpGrad, and Physics Wallah, comparing their funding sources, valuations, investors, financial statements, operational costs, growth patterns, and employee trends against their competitors.
