Navigating attrition in shri hari dyes and chemicals: a study on labor sector employee turnover

Abstract

The constant turnover of employees within labour-intensive industries leads to detrimental effects on productivity, staffing expenses, and operational performance. This research investigates the existing staff turnover problems and their associated outcomes at the manufacturing company Shri Hari Dyes and Chemicals. The study uses quantitative survey assessments combined with qualitative techniques that include interviews with company officials to identify all employee retention factors. The study shows that inadequate job advancement and insufficient recognition, together with safety risks in the work environment and reported preferential treatment, lead to high employee departure rates. Employee attrition continues to grow because of poor work-life balance, unsatisfactory job conditions, and insufficient managerial support. Research findings provide useful knowledge about how labour-intensive industries execute sustainable management practices for human capital.
