| dc.description.abstract | The conventional manual tracking systems employed in common workspaces like university labs, workshops, and small industry environments result in regular inefficiencies, equipment loss, and unwanted usage. The project addresses tool-related problems with its cost-effective intervention through RFID technology-enabled automated management. The system integrates Arduino Uno as a microcontroller with RFID reader and tags, solenoid locking components, and a local website to enable authorised access management and real-time monitoring of tool usage. With its standalone functionality without cloud requirements, the solution works effectively for educational institutions and small workshop environments by avoiding complex IT infrastructure demands. The user testing and actual deployment demonstrate overwhelmingly positive acceptance of the system, especially by students of engineering, indicating its efficacy and promise for eventual use in professional applications. | |
