Abstract
Description
In this session of The Conversation Series session, our speaker Dr Tripurdaman Singh, British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London, and author of ‘Nehru: The Debates that Defined India’, addressed crucial questions such as: What leadership traits helped Nehru fashion the destiny of the nation? What were the drawbacks of Nehru’s style? Was he a great leader for his charisma and personality? Or for his ideas and vision? What leadership lessons should leaders – political and business – learn or not learn from Nehru, whose shadow looms over India, even six decades after his passing? He used Nehru as a case study to elucidate the various facets of political leadership, and whether the ultimate proof of great leadership lies in character, vision, or action. Here he is in conversation with Professor Ravi Miglani, Professor of Practice of Management, and Director, Executive Education, Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad University.
