Shantaram writes to NGC about NGC's sudden departure from Indore. He expresses his reverence to NGC and also said that he understands his actions were justified considering the present intricate circumstances of the state. "All the subjects, excepting a few selfish, intriguous people feel much & blame His Highness for losing a gentleman of your rank and position." He ends by paying his humble respects to NGC and his whole family.
