Abstract
In this paper, we investigate the sensing performance of an improved energy detector (IED) over uniformly and exponentially correlated Nakagami-m fading with imperfect channel state information (CSI). We consider a cooperative network with N secondary mobile users and one primary user. For vehicular communication, we derive the expression for the probability of miss detection using p based IED as a Kummer's solution. Moreover, error rate performance is also analyzed. Simulations are conducted for the validity and accuracy of derived expressions. Results demonstrate the combined effect of user mobility and correlated fading on the detection performance over imperfect CSI. Moreover, exponential correlation among the antenna results in the better detection performance under the effect of velocity than uniform correlation.
