Abstract
Description
At this lecture organised by Ahmedabad University on the occasion of National Science Day 2021, Prof Krishna BS Swamy, Assistant Professor, Ahmedabad University, speaks on ‘Molecular Evolution’. He illustrates how species evolve and how human evolution is taking place over the last couple hundred thousand years. He also provides a glimpse of the molecular wars that have been ongoing between microbes, between microbes and humans, and how some of the ancient genes that we inherited from our primate ancestors are helping us fight these wars.
