Free food - paid for by ads

Abstract

Free Food – Paid for by Ads is an innovative and impact-driven business project to solve the persistent issue of food insecurity in India. By providing four essential food items—atta, rice, nutrition biscuits, and energy bars—completely free of cost to consumers, the model relies on revenue from branded advertising placed on the packaging. These items are distributed through a dual strategy involving digital platforms and physical last-mile outreach, especially targeting semi-urban and underserved communities. The project explores how brand visibility, social impact, and nutrition access can be merged into a sustainable business framework. It demonstrates the feasibility of a self-sustaining, scalable enterprise that benefits consumers and advertisers.
