The paper provides an experimental design to study the effect of polarization and distrust on policy. The unique part of the paper is its experimental methodology, where three experimental games are used to study the effects. The majority of the work in this paper is related to the design of the experimental games. The expected results of the paper are expected to show a divide based on partisan preference. The expected results should demonstrate that there is an existence of distrust based on political preferences. The expected results should help establish a negative direction between polarization on policy. The expected results have broader policy implications for the government.
