Abstract
The increasing use of digital menus post Covid-19 is changing the dining experience quite remarkably. This study, titled “Clicks Over Prints: Transforming Caf´e Menus for the Modern Age,” studies customer perceptions, operational efficiency, and service-level utility of digital menus compared to printed menus. We used a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data was collected from cafe managers and service staff through direct interview, whereas the quantitative data was collected from customers using an online survey. It was found that QR code menus introduce both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages are that they are easy to maintain and update, fast, and contactless, and reduce operational costs. The disadvantages are that they rely on failure points in technology, they are unfriendly for older users, and they are often inconvenient to use. The study concludes that a hybrid model combining digital and printed menus offers the most practical and inclusive solution for cafes.
