| dc.description.abstract | Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a complex endocrine condition that affects a significant number of women all over the world. Our research focused more on exploring the varied aspects of the management of PCOS, which focuses on lifestyle changes, psychological effects, and medical interposition. Our Study included interviews with qualitative aspects of five women who were diagnosed with severe PCOS, which highlighted the importance of uniformity in adopting healthy practices like changing your diet plan and exercising regularly. While some women decided to consume medications, they noticed the side effects of the consumption of medications considering any other treatments. A survey of qualitative aspects, which involved 183 participants, provided a vision of PCOS prevalence, methods of treatment, changes in symptoms after diagnosis, habit adaptation of dietary, and psychological well-being. Chi-square was used for Statistical analysis. Relationships between PCOS, intensity, and factors like age, diet, drinking, smoking, and psychological traits were observed by examination of the tests. Our initiatives of social outreach included workshops, awareness sessions, and NGO collaborations, which focused on educating women about PCOS, how a healthy lifestyle is essential, and the myths. We applied the psychological Theory- Health Belief Model (HBM) to know the gap between awareness and action for adopting a healthy lifestyle for the management of PCOS, emphasizing the part of self-potency, recognized barriers, and coping mechanisms. | |
