Abstract
The advent of Open AI’s ChatGPT, a model trained on large datasets to generate human-like text capable of performing various tasks, seems like the breaking point for using Large Language Models and AI in general to accelerate businesses. However, the lack of trustworthiness surrounding their security, fairness and reliability in performing various business tasks has always been a huge barrier to their adoption. The study aims to examine ChatGPT’s ability to build trust among users for using language models to perform tasks and give recommendations that are either equivalent to or more efficient than human experts. It also aims to highlight the capabilities of ChatGPT for performing tasks in various fields such as marketing, finance, HR, entrepreneurship, education, etc., which can help businesses to grow. To conduct this research, an online survey was conducted. Data were collected from 106 people above the age of 16 years working in different fields to measure their perception of using the technology and their trust in the LLMs like ChatGPT. Previous studies and current real-life applications of ChatGPT in various companies are also important in conducting this research. The main inference from this study will be that businesses would have a better idea of knowing the extent to which they can trust using language models like ChatGPT in their business operations, identify possible areas where they can implement it into their business operations and whether it can replace human experts or not.
